Hospital located in Rockledge is a 300 + bed, rapidly growing facility presently undergoing a $35 million expansion. It is a private, "non-profit" hospital established in 1941 and currently employing over 800

Pediatric Unit, Pathology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography Scanner, Respiratory Therapy, Cardiology, Neurology and Physical Therapy. Its emergency rooms are staffed by qualified
nurses and doctors around the clock 365 days a year. There is also a hospital auxiliary of over 200 men and women who offer their services on a volunteer basis. Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital is fully
accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Hospitals and the Florida State Department of Health Services, a member of the American Hospital Association and the Florida Hospital Association, licensed by the
state of Florida Board of Health and approved for HEW participation in the Medicare program. Because Rockledge is the site of such a highly advanced and respected medical institution, it attracted the attention of
many additional physicians and other highly trained medical technicians to the area, who also offer many other highly specialized medical services. Good recent examples are the two new medical buildings oriented
towards the treatment of cancer patients. |
